Crake Trees B and BCrake Trees breakfastCrake Trees Bed and Breakfast

At Crake Trees Manor we welcome visitors to our wonderful conversion of a 19th Century Westmorland Field Barn right at the centre of the family farm. All our rooms look out over the farmland to the lovely Eden Valley and The Pennines and Howgill Fells in the distance.

There are 3 large and comfortable ensuite bedrooms, luxurious and relaxing
each with an easy mix of Antique and Modern furnishings. Our rooms are named after fields on the farm. Most farms have their fields named in very personal ways, going back to before enclosure. These meant that family and workers knew exactly where to go and what was grown in the patchwork of small fields that were traditional in Westmorland.

Peasland suite is a self contained king size suite with private entrance and balcony. Also a small kitchen area, dining table and large sofa to sink into. Michelbank room is king size with shower and views from many windows. Howebeck room is double with shower and outside balcony.

Michelbank and Howebeck are in the main part of the house. They are at opposite ends of the upstairs library that looks down into the galleried sitting room and dining room. Here is where folks can make a hot drink, with fresh milk and a homemade biscuit. Sink into one of the enormous hand made sofas, read a book from our vast library, look through the local paper, see what's going on in the Cumbria magazine, or watch a bit of T.V. We have a basket of maps, my own guided circular walks, and lots of local guide books for planning tomorrows adventure. Outside, the courtyard is perfect for catching the afternoon sun, the front lawn is where you can enjoy that last cup of breakfast coffee, then, maybe wander down by the pond, the view seems forever.
