The Cottage
Park your car in the roadside parking space and enter the courtyard through the oak slatted gate (don’t forget to keep this gate shut as sheep graze the village green). The stone flagged courtyard has a rose and herb border and raised decking just right for sunbathing.
Step into the doorway from the courtyard into a slate flagged passage leading to the kitchen area.
To your right is the shower room, a wet room with power shower and compact wash basin and toilet.
The Brew House has a private sewage system, a bio digester, so visitors have to be careful not to upset its delicate constitution! No items other than toilet paper and no toilet cleaner thank you.
Into the kitchen area which has every thing you could possibly need for enjoying your holiday cooking, preparation and washing up....a dish washer of course. We have no room for a washing machine.
In the kitchen area underneath a small window looking up the village, is the dining table with fixed seat and wooden chairs, also an extra manual electric strip heater is in this area.
The sitting room area also has a slate floor with lovely red rag rug and wall hanging.
Sink into the comfy sofa in front of the original fireplace which has a Vermont wood burning stove, also a flat screen TV with integral DVD and CD player.
Background heat is by electric.
You can step right out onto the village green and another tiny courtyard from a half glazed door, lovely to open on a warm day.
Up the open green oak and steel stairway to the bedroom area.
The bedroom has a gorgeous oak boarded floor and two windows that look over to the green and wier on the river, or to the north and the quiet road running out through the village.
A king size bed takes pride of place with hand built quirky furnishings making a very stylish and comfortable bedroom.
