Crake Trees Farm & The Tuer Family
The
farm at Crake Trees is run by Ruth and
Mike Tuer. Bed and breakfast visitors
have been welcomed by us to Meaburn Hill and Crake
Trees for over 20 years and the family, Laura, William and India
have grown up amidst many accents and cultures.
The farm is surrounded by meadow and pasture, over-looking
the valleys and fells beyond. The changing seasons offer different
moods and experiences to enjoy.
Spring
brings lambing, the wild daffodils of nearby Acorn Bank and the
unexpected bursts of beautiful weather enjoyed here.
Summer with the the village shows,
the buzz of gossip, the landscape lush and green and the harvest
is in full swing.
Autumn is for relaxing, the wonderful
galleries and tea shops are quieter whilst hare, pheasant and roe
deer enjoy the late summer heat of our Northern sunshine.
And then to Winter. The views
are still beautiful, fires burn and all is cosy underneath starlit
nights; these have to be seen to be believed.
